How Sellers Earn on Unpaired

Unpaired is a curated marketplace. Sellers set their own prices, and Unpaired earns a commission for facilitating the transaction, payment processing, and marketplace operations.

Commission Structure

  • Sellers set the listing price.
  • Unpaired deducts a marketplace commission from each completed sale.
  • The remaining balance is paid to the seller.

Example:
If a shoe sells for $40 and the commission is 15%, the seller payout is $34 (before any applicable shipping or refund adjustments).

Commission rates may be updated as the marketplace evolves. Sellers will be notified of any changes in advance.


How & When Sellers Get Paid

Payment Method

  • All seller payouts are processed through the platform’s connected payment system.
  • Sellers must connect and maintain valid payout information to receive funds.

Payout Timing

  • Payouts are released after the order is marked as delivered and the return/refund window has closed.
  • Funds are deposited directly into the seller’s connected bank account.
  • Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider.

Unpaired is not responsible for delays caused by incomplete payout information or bank processing timelines.


Refunds, Returns & Disputes

Unpaired manages refunds centrally to ensure consistency and buyer trust.

Refund Scenarios

A refund may be issued if:

  • The item does not match the description or photos
  • The incorrect shoe (left/right, size, or style) is sent
  • Significant damage was not disclosed

Impact on Seller Payouts

  • If a refund is approved, the seller payout will be reversed.
  • Sellers may be responsible for return shipping in cases of misrepresentation or error.
  • Repeated issues may result in listing restrictions or account removal.

Clear photos and accurate descriptions protect both you and the buyer.


Required Shoe Description Template (Mandatory)

To maintain quality and reduce disputes, sellers must use the following standardized description format for all listings.

Guidance

  • Be specific and factual.
  • Disclose all wear, scuffs, or imperfections.
  • If it would matter to you as a buyer, include it.

Listings that do not follow this format may be delayed, edited, or rejected.


Seller Responsibilities

By selling on Unpaired, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate titles, descriptions, and photos
  • Ship items promptly and securely
  • Maintain current payout information
  • Respond to issues if contacted by Unpaired

Unpaired reserves the right to remove listings or sellers that consistently fail to meet marketplace standards.

This guide may be updated as Unpaired grows. Sellers are responsible for staying informed of current policies.
